The LMS Product Owner will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and enhancement of our Learning Management System (LMS). This position requires a strong technical background and a deep understanding of LMS architecture, design principles, and user experience. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with development teams, stakeholders, and end-users to ensure the successful delivery of the LMS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Vision and Strategy
• Define and articulate the long-term vision for the LMS, aligning it with the strategic goals of the organization.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business needs and user feedback.
2. Technical Expertise
• Demonstrate a solid technical foundation, including knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and server-side programming languages (PHP, Python, Node.js).
• Understand LMS architecture, including user management, course authoring, content delivery, and assessment systems.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
3. Requirement Gathering and Prioritization
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including faculty, students, and administrators, to gather and analyze requirements.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
• Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
4. Product Backlog Management
• Maintain a well-organized and prioritized product backlog.
• Regularly refine the backlog to adapt to changing priorities and emerging needs.
5. Agile Methodology
• Lead the development team using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure efficient, iterative development.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment and transparency.
6. Quality Assurance
• Collaborate with the QA team to define testing strategies and ensure the quality of the LMS.
• Conduct regular product reviews to identify and resolve potential issues.
7. User Experience
• Focus on creating a user-friendly and intuitive LMS interface.
• Work with UX designers to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
8. Data Analysis and Insights
• Analyze user data and system metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions and prioritize features.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, preferably in an LMS environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of web development technologies, database systems, and LMS architecture.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
