Job Description

A Light Driver Pickup is responsible for driving a light-duty vehicle, typically a pickup truck, to transport goods, materials, or passengers. This role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a pickup truck safely while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Transportation of Goods :
• Drive a pickup truck to deliver goods, materials, or supplies to designated locations.
• Ensure that the cargo is loaded, secured, and delivered safely and on time.
• Vehicle Maintenance :
• Perform basic checks and maintenance on the pickup truck, such as monitoring fuel levels, tire pressure, and oil levels.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel for further inspection or repair.
• Loading and Unloading :
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring that items are properly secured during transport to prevent damage.
• Help in the handling and arrangement of materials for delivery or pickup.
• Documentation :
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and mileage.
• Complete delivery forms, time sheets, or electronic logs, as required.
• Customer Interaction :
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries or pickups.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns as needed, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Safety Compliance :
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure the safety of the vehicle, passengers, and cargo.
• Follow company guidelines and regulations regarding vehicle operation and delivery procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience : Previous experience in driving light-duty vehicles, especially pickups, is preferred.
• Certifications : A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Skills :
• Good driving skills with an understanding of road safety and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and follow delivery schedules.
• Strong communication skills for customer interactions.

Working Conditions:

• Physical Demands : Requires lifting and loading/unloading items, which may involve manual labor.
• Work Environment : Primarily on the road, with occasional loading/unloading at warehouses or client locations.
