Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Light System Engineer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of lighting systems for events and exhibitions. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lighting Design:
• Design lighting setups for various events and exhibitions according to client specifications and event requirements.
• Create lighting plans, including fixture selection, placement, and programming.
• Installation:
• Install lighting systems and related equipment at event venues.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and technical specifications.
• Operation:
• Operate lighting systems during events, ensuring optimal performance and visual effects.
• Program and control lighting consoles to execute lighting cues and sequences.
• Maintenance:
• Conduct regular maintenance and testing of lighting equipment.
• Perform repairs and upgrades as necessary to ensure reliability and performance.
• Technical Support:
• Provide on-site technical support during events, addressing any lighting issues promptly.
• Assist clients with technical inquiries and provide guidance on lighting setups.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all lighting setups are of high quality and meet client expectations.
• Conduct pre-event testing to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with event planners, production teams, and other technicians to understand technical requirements and timelines.
• Provide technical training and guidance to junior staff and new team members.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in lighting design, installation, and operation for events.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, and control consoles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using lighting design software and control systems.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
Working Conditions:
• Full-time position.
• On-site work at various event locations, including outdoor and indoor venues.
• Travel required for installations and events.

• Technical Accuracy:
• Accuracy in following lighting design plans and installation guidelines.
