Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee lifting operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting activities, guaranteeing the safe and efficient execution of lifts. Key Responsibilities 1. Lifting Operations: Plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting operations, including crane lifts, rigging, and material handling. 2. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, such as OSHA and ASME. 3. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks. 4. Lifting Equipment: Inspect and maintain lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and rigging gear. 5. Team Supervision: Supervise and train lifting team members, including crane operators, riggers, and signal persons. 6. Lift Planning: Develop and implement lift plans, including load calculations, rigging plans, and safety protocols. 7. Communication: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure lifting operations align with project requirements. 8. Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Requirements 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, safety) preferred. 2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations, including supervisory experience. 3. Certifications: TUV Certifications in lifting operations, such as crane operator certification, rigging certification, or lifting supervisor certification. 4. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, safety regulations, and industry standards. 5. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications 1. Industry Experience: Experience in the construction, oil and gas, or energy industries. 2. Safety Certifications: Certifications in safety, such as OSHA certification or safety management certification. 3. Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams and supervising personnel.
