Job Summary:

As a Lifeguard you are responsible to monitor activities in the swimming area to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers. Duties are to be carried out after passing the necessary legal requirements as set the relevant legal authorities where the duties will be carried out.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Caution swimmers regarding unsafe areas
• Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid
• Maintain order in swimming areas
• Determine the chlorine and PH value of water, using water testing kit
• Conduct or officiate swimming meets and give swimming instructions
• Ensure the swimming pool is clean
• Ensure the sun loungers are clean, in the correct position and in working order
• Check the temperature of the pool to ensure they are at set standard
• Ensure the pool deck is always clean of any debris during the operation
• Ensure that the pool deck is swept and watered down, and that all furniture is in correct place during morning set up
• Ensure that the umbrellas are fixed properly to their units and when not in use, tidied down for safety precautions
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Conduct swimming lessons if required
• Have full knowledge of club facilities, timings, promotions and prices
• Report any Guest's feedback, comments or complaints to your Department Head immediately
• To know the rules and regulations of the club and how to deal with Guest applications on memberships
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Additional to the above-mentioned requirements an Employee will at times be expected to perform tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as necessitated by work demand.

Pay: From AED1,700.00 per month
