The Role A global law firm based in the DIFC, are seeking a Legal Secretary with international law firm experience to join their team for a 6-month fixed term contract. The firms expertise is spread across a broad spectrum of business disciplines and major industries from media and entertainment to healthcare and education, and they have a presence in the majority of the worlds continents. As a Legal Secretary for the Dubai office, the successful candidate will report to the Senior EA Manager and you will be responsible for providing all legal documentation support to all levels of seniority including Managing Partners, Associates and Paralegals across the office and all legal departments. You will be involved in all cases and expected to work alongside the Secretarial Team to ensure all deadlines are met, sharing the daily workload. Duties will include typing of MOUs, POAs, preparation of court documents and bundles, indexes and case file updates, client liaison and updates on the internal systems. You will work to a very high level of discretion and confidentiality with exceptional attention to detail at all times. You should also be capable of taking dictation and compiling complex legal documents via track changes. Additionally, the role will also include scheduling of meetings, conference calls and some diary management and travel for the Senior Team. Those experienced in the timesheet and billing process would also be a distinct advantage for this position.Requirements In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the global legal sector and possess a proven ability in the preparation of all documentation across a varied range of legal disciplines. Therefore, those with advanced skills in MS Office are required. Candidates will also be excellent communicators in the English language, to near native standard in both their reading and writing capabilities. You should work well within a team, but equally be able to work alone and have the ability to work under pressure.
