  • The lawyer needs to ensure that CC7 ME receives high-quality, targeted legal advice on the full range of the company's law issues. The work involves advising on developing and implementing regulatory policy, enabling secure regulatory enforcement actions including statutory directions and fines, supporting live investigations and audits, and advising on a range of business activities including commercial and contract work and information compliance. The work is varied and complex, the pace is fast and the lawyers must be resilient and agile. CC7 ME lawyers need to be flexible in managing a mixed caseload of contentious and noncontentious matters.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including but not limited to drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, litigating, and arbitrating contracts.
  • Participate in contract negotiation, review, and execution of the company's engineering projects to protect the company's legal rights and interests.
  • Provide high-quality, targeted, and accessible legal advice that is placed within the wider strategic context.
  • Proactively identify legal issues at the earliest opportunity and develop and implement strategies to address them. Conduct regular legal risk assessments and management to ensure the company's legal operation.
  • Use a range of persuasion and influencing skills to secure strategic outcomes that are compliant with the law.
  • Use high-level legal competencies to develop and implement innovative solutions to legal problems.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical competency in one or more of the legal specialisms needed by CC7 ME.
  • Help to support and train CC7 ME staff to enable them to understand the legal context for CC7 ME's work, raise awareness of legal issues, develop staffs legal acumen, and support and enable staff to make the best use of legal advice.
  • Commission and manage the provision of external legal advice, ensuring that externally commissioned lawyers are provided with all necessary information to enable them to provide advice that is accurate, targeted and which represents the best value for money.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the practice and procedures of the Legal team.
  • Other works as per managers\' requirements.
Requirements
  • At least 5-year experience in legal affairs, must have EPC related legal advisory experience under Petrochemical background.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Law, with a lawyer's practicing certificate, overseas study experience, or local lawyer experience in the UAE preferred.
  • Familiar with laws and regulations of China and MENA areas, especially of UAE.
  • Good legal thinking and legal literacy, strong legal analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiar with enterprise management and business processes.
  • Excellent English both in oral and writing. Chinese speakers or Arabic speakers are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: From AED11,000.00 per month Experience:
  • MENA legal advisory, especially UAE: 5 years (Required)
  • Petrochemical industry: 3 years (Required)
