Regional General Counsel, IMEA

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible as a Legal counsel and member of the Process Automation Regional legal team in IMEA, to ensure support to the assigned Process Automation (PA) businesses. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area based in Abu Dhabi UAE. You will be mainly accountable for: oDeveloping close working relationships with the internal customers and stakeholders including the management oMultiple jurisdictions experience and cross border legal support across the Process Automation Business Area oParticipating and giving assistance in contracts, agreements, consortium and JV oReviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies and other legal documents from vendors, customers and other third parties ensuring compliance with policies oSupporting business in managing contractual claims oParticipating in and promoting activities ensuring employees conduct business in compliance with the directives and the local laws oImplementing the compliance/integrity group program oProviding training to employees on contractual matters oRaising and defending litigation matters brought against the company using relevant external experts oEnsuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost-effective way.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor of Law degree a from reputable university 10 years plus' working experience in a major corporation and/or in a leading law firm Demonstrable experience dealing with both common law and civil law issues Self-motivated and being able to progressively work with autonomy Team spirited, solution orientated and with pragmatic approach Good interpersonal and communication skills and being able to work effectively with business clients Must be fluent in English and Arabic.
