Job Description

A legal counsel in a UAE company is responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, and support to the company and its employees on a wide range of legal issues. Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Providing legal advice on Intellectual property rights, commercial and corporate law matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and policies, to ensure they are legally sound and in compliance with UAE laws.
• Representing the company in legal proceedings, such as litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and working with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date on changes in UAE laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
• Collaborating with other departments within the company, such as human resources, finance, regulatory department and executive management, to address legal issues and provide guidance on best practices.
• Developing and implementing legal strategies and risk management initiatives to protect the company's interests and minimize legal exposure.
• Building and maintaining relationships with external legal partners, government authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure the company is well-positioned in the legal landscape.
