To provide a first class board/company secretarial service appropriate to, and consistent with, that required by a leading international organization, and which is appropriate for IPO standards. To contribute to corporate legal activities, including the provision of legal and regulatory advice to Masdar and its projects, assets and subsidiaries, as required, ensuring compliance with the defined legal framework and protecting the interests of Masdar. In addition, developing, reviewing and / or negotiating agreements, contracts and relevant legal documentation for Masdar, as applicable.QualificationsPreferred Experience:
At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in progressive roles involving corporate governance and board secretarial duties, in a large organization working in the relevant industry
Job-Specific Skills:
Strong knowledge in a range of legal areas including general corporate and commercial, project finance, mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, etc.
Broad knowledge of Masdar and its operations, and good knowledge and experience in renewables
Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment of relevant geographic markets
Understands the commercial and financial rationale behind legal structures and decisions
Good knowledge of international cross border transactions and projects
Good understanding of the legal aspects, laws, legislations and regulations related to the assigned sector
Strong knowledge of the UAE\'s federal and Emirate laws, regulations, and legal reporting standards
Good knowledge of changing market trends, and ability to provide regular updates and insights
Ability to identify, anticipate, mitigate and manage risks related to transactions and projects
Ability to anticipate potential risks, exposure while analysing, and determining the potential ethical, reputational, and legal risks and implications on the business function
Strong ability to present to senior management and Board-level stakeholders in a concise and clear manner
Ability to offer proactive advice regularly and signal prospective legal risks
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and proven ability to use the right negotiation strategies and tools to optimize benefits and value to Masdar, and resolve complex challenges and bottlenecks
Ability to identify, manage and nurture strategic relationships at the business function level, including legal firms, prospective partners, etc.
Ability to engage with and manage external legal counsel independently and efficiently
Ability to liaise effectively, and coordinate with, internal project teams and external legal service providers (at the international and local level)
Ability to provide sound insight to guide decision-making
