\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of all applicable laws, legislation, and regulations in order to provide accurate, legal advice and counsel to the company\xe2\x80\x99s leadership, management and teams.
\xe2\x97\x8f Advise company\xe2\x80\x99s leadership (Chairman and Undersecretary) and management on legal matters relating to law number 11 and all other governing sector laws, and ensure the company complies fully with required laws and regulations.
\xe2\x97\x8f Oversee the legal review of contracts and agreements that the company enters into with external parties.
\xe2\x97\x8f Approve the legal contractual drafting of all licensee contracts in accordance with the Regulatory Affairs Sector (including the reviewing of the relevant due diligence).
\xe2\x97\x8f Advise the legislation team with drafting and reviewing legislation, with respect to policy and strategy of the energy sector as defined by the Policy Development Directorate.
\xe2\x97\x8f Provide legal opinion and sector legislation advice to the government of Abu Dhabi, where required.
\xe2\x97\x8f Establish and manage the relationship between the company and any external legal service providers who are contracted to support the company. Work with company procurement to contract any legal service providers and conduct an annual review of their performance to ensure appropriate levels of service are delivered against the contract.
\xe2\x97\x8f Represent the company with legal bodies, courts, the Abu Dhabi government, and Federal UAE government as required.
\xe2\x97\x8f Ensuring that the consumer\xe2\x80\x99s best interests are protected.
\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure that an appropriate governance framework for the company is developed and implemented in accordance with applicable legislation.
\xe2\x97\x8f Overseeing and directing the Licensing and Compliance functions.
\xe2\x97\x8f Direct and oversee the activities of the reporting Directors and Section Heads. Job Requirements:
\xe2\x97\x8f Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Law
\xe2\x97\x8f Master\'s degree in a closely related field
\xe2\x97\x8f 9 -11 years of experience in relevant field.
