Legal Advisor - Land Department Regulations SpecialistJob Location: AjmanOur client is a holding company in the UAE that holds franchises for multiple global brands of hotels, a real estate company, and other businesses under the group.They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Advisor specializing in local regulations, particularly focused on the Land Department across all Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and a deep understanding of the legal intricacies surrounding land transactions and regulations in the UAE.Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local regulations and laws pertaining to land transactions and development projects.
Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters related to the Land Department regulations, property ownership, leasing, and development.
Documentation Review: Review and draft legal documents, contracts, agreements, and leases related to land transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, property assessments, and regulatory compliance checks.
Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation matters related to land transactions, representing the company\'s interests in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in local laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting land transactions and provide proactive advice to the management team.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including real estate development, finance, and operations, to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks associated with land transactions.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in law from a reputable institution; additional certifications or specializations in real estate law are preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Advisor or Lawyer, with a focus on real estate law and land department regulations in the UAE.
In-depth knowledge of local regulations, procedures, and practices related to the Land Department across all Emirates.
Proven experience in handling real estate transactions, property acquisitions, leasing agreements, and development projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government authorities.
Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Fluency in Arabic and English languages is mandatory.
