The Learning & Development Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the training and development programs within the organization, ensuring that employees have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively. This role also involves a smaller focus on recruitment activities to support the HR department. Key Responsibilities:Learning & Development:
Training Needs Analysis:
Conduct regular assessments to identify skills gaps and training needs within the organization.
Collaborate with department heads to determine specific training requirements.
Program Development and Implementation:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs, including onboarding, technical skills training, leadership development, and soft skills enhancement.
Ensure training materials are current, relevant, and engaging.
Delivery of Training:
Facilitate training sessions through various methods (in-person, online, blended learning).
Coordinate with external trainers and consultants as needed.
Evaluation and Feedback:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
Manage and maintain the organizations LMS, ensuring it is up-to-date and user-friendly.
Track and report on employee training progress and completion rates.
Employee Development:
Support the creation and implementation of individual development plans for employees.
Promote continuous learning and development opportunities within the organization.
Recruitment Support:
Job Posting and Sourcing:
Assist with job postings and sourcing candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, career fairs).
Screening and Interviewing:
Conduct initial screenings and participate in interviews as needed.
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and timelines.
Onboarding:
Support the onboarding process by ensuring new hires receive the necessary training and resources to integrate into the company effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in learning and development, with some exposure to recruitment activities.
Skills:
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess training effectiveness.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
