:Job Objective:The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of Brownfield Safety Critical Projects on multiple offshore platforms; including large production complexes (multiple platforms bridge linked) and remote Wellhead Towers, located offshore within the UAE under an EPCM contracting model.Effective overall delivery of execution delivery on an assigned asset, which could be a production Complex or a number of Wellhead Towers. This encompasses both Construction and Commissioning activities as well as the movement of accommodation barges, utilisation of workboats, and receipt of materials etc.Provide certainty and confidence to the Client and Wood Project Sponsor, that the contract is being delivered safely with a strong focus on optimization, cost control, risk management, schedule adherence and stakeholder management.Responsibilities:
Fully responsible for engineering solutions to produce detailed design and specifications
Key interface with Client Operations team, attending Work Planning / Approval Sessions and communicating outcome to Contractor management team.
Review and approve of deliverables prepared by other HSE Engineers within the HSE group
Being accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables
Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
Participating in audits and incident investigations as required
Ensure that all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with
Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements and maintains risks to as low as reasonably practicable
Achieving project completion to the project specifications on schedule
Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other HSE workshops
Management of third party HSE consultants in the execution of engineering delivery/HSE workshops
Preparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids for procured fire and safety equipment, participate in vendor meetings
Able to interrogate and review 3rd party HSE studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as required
Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) as required
Performance of Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Studies
Fire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar, Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Preparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.
Actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
Self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up
Expert knowledge of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes
Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews
Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required
Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
Executing assigned development objectives for team members
Provide assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for project proposals
Qualifications:
Must have ADNOC offshore brownfield project experience
Experience of Fire & Gas Detection and Protection, plus Fire Suppressant System
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering / Loss Prevention/ Environmental or equivalent from an accredited university.
Experience of Design and Installation to SIL 3 Standards/ Requirements
Experience of working with leading OEMS for Design/ Interface/ Interconnections, plus Factory Acceptance / Site Acceptance Testing
Experience in replacing obsolete F&G and Control systems in a live operating environment
Must have at least fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry with minimum (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas projects, managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers
Knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation, international codes and standards
