PURPOSE OF THE JOB:To lead the design, engineering, and execution of static equipment for EPC projects during the detailed engineering phase. This role requires ensuring technical compliance, optimizing designs, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet ADNOC standards and project objectives.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the engineering and design of static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and other stationary equipment, during detailed engineering phase.
Develop and review design basis documents, engineering calculations, and specifications for static equipment.
Ensure compliance with project requirements, ADNOC standards, and international codes such as ASME, API, and TEMA.
Review vendor documents, technical bids, and drawings to ensure technical alignment with project specifications.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of static equipment within the overall project design.
Provide technical leadership to the team, guiding junior engineers and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, and constructability assessments, addressing technical challenges and providing solutions.
Support procurement activities, including material selection, requisition preparation, and technical evaluations.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to resolve technical queries and ensure project alignment.
Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases to ensure proper installation and functionality of static equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment, with a strong focus on FEED and detailed engineering phases.
Proven experience in ADNOC projects, including knowledge of ADNOC standards and procedures.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 660, and TEMA.
Proficiency in static equipment design software and tools, such as PV Elite and Compress.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering or project management (e.g., PMP) are an advantage.
