:Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Subject Matter Expert to join our growing engineering team on a newly awarded project with our client Saudi Aramco based in Dubai contractor office.Responsibilities:
Be able to lead and supervise Process Engineering Team
Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate
Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design
Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client\'s requirements and / or those issued
Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design
Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart etc.
Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc.
Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design
Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
Review and approve safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required
Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity
Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project
Ensure that requirements of Licensor\'s Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed
Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers
Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers, Engineering Manager / Discipline heads
As Lead Discipline Engineer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of engineers, designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project
Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team
Assist project team in the preparation of planning package, scheduling, weekly reporting etc.
Assist as required in the preparation of pre - commissioning, commission procedures and operating Manuals
Provided assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for proposals
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of twenty years of relevant experience mainly being in the Onshore Oil and Gas industry
Must have at least five years of experience in similar position, managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers.
Subject Matter Expert in gas compression, hydraulics and line sizing, process control of multiple trains, large scale compression
Proficient in Process Simulation software\'s such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA
Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
