:Wood is currently looking for a Lead Pipeline Designer to join our In-house Engineering team in Dubai, UAE.Responsibilities:Primary Role:
To promote safe behavior at all times
To support Lead Pipeline Engineer in developing cost effective pipeline design & drawings
To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks
Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering
Technical Skills
To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs
To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods & standards
Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO
To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection
To compile site visit/route survey report as required
To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of pipeline design/drawings development
To provide technical support to site as required
Familiarity with key pipeline design codes and standards
Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant
Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets
Must be eligible and willing to make occasional visits to Basra, Iraq.
Qualifications:Educational Attainments:
Diploma or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant subject)
Business & Industry Experience:
Minimum of 15years relevant experience
Last 15 years hands-on smartplant 3D.
Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil
PDS / PDMS experience required.
Experience in Site Survey Activities and techniques.
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
