We are now looking for Lead Engineer, Civil (Construction Management experience) to lead the discipline to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Lead Engineer, Civil (Construction Management experience) reports to the Head of Discipline, Civil & Structural.
Job Overview
The Lead Civil Engineer is responsible for the conception, design, development, and management of projects in the built environment. This role entails ensuring the successful execution of projects by applying engineering principles, supervising construction teams, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
In your role you will execute civil structural design deliverables in projects while complying to safety, within budget and schedule and with quality.
You should have a desire to work on multi-disciplinary local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by leading assigned discipline designers and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Site Arrangement and Accessibility: Conduct site arrangement studies to improve jobsite accessibility, enhance erection methods, and ensure access for construction personnel, materials, and equipment.
• + Lessons Learned and Method Improvement: Review past construction experiences from similar projects to identify lessons learned and propose improved work methods.
+ Progress Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for field activities.
+ Project Scheduling: Provide construction input for the project master schedule, including development of construction logic, sequence planning, and activity durations to ensure a construction-driven project schedule.
+ Cost Estimation: Contribute to the development of project estimates and budgets, including costs for transportation and temporary works required for the construction phase.
+ Risk Assessment and Cost Analysis: Assess potential risks, materials, and costs involved in the project.
+ Technical Advice and Solutions: Provide technical advice and develop creative solutions to address construction challenges.
+ Construction Supervision: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards of construction and safety.
+ Team Leadership: Lead and direct the construction team, supervising on-site progress.
+ Feasibility Studies and Proposals: Conduct feasibility studies and prepare bid proposals and environmental impact statements.
+ Compliance: Ensure project compliance with legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
+ Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and other project stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution.
+ Procurement: Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries to align with project timelines.
+ QHSE Management: Implement and enforce quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with 15 years minimum Oil & Gas experience and minimum 8 years in Lead role
• Good verbal as well written communication skills, leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
• Knowledge of industry-specific software, such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other computer-aided design tools.
• Familiarity with the latest HSE standards, work permit procedures, TRAs, method statements, and managing SIMOPS.
• Expertise in modern project management techniques, environmental engineering aspects, and constructability reviews.
• Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of project.
• Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution.
• UAE local experience is added value.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in the English language
