Job Summary: Capable of complete design and investigative services including electric power distribution networks, power load determination, exterior electric, interior electric, fire alarm systems, and site lighting. Provide complete services including power load determination, exterior electrical, interior electrical, and site lighting working drawings as needed. Be familiar with local/applicable codes and comply with communications requirements and account for them in project documents. Attends meetings as required for projects or investigative/project development taskings. Responsible for construction inspections, quality control, submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers. In addition, this discipline may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify compliance and quality of work being performed on jobs/projects.
Job Duties: Researches, develops, designs, tests, and evaluates electrical components, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Designs, and may direct engineering personnel in, fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.

Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner . Professional registration and membership in technical society (preferred) . Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials . Practical field experience . Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Security clearance (Secret or above)
Preferred Qualifications Six (6) years to nine (9) years related experience. Minimum of four (4) years of design experience.
