- Carry out Electrical engineering studies, FEED, analysis & calculations and develop engineering package including various engineering deliverables. Work in close coordination with Engineering team to develop relevant engineering deliverables.
- Develop or technical review of various electrical studies & calculations such power system study, load flow & short circuit study, switchgear, electrical protection coordination study, relay settings etc.
- Review/ Approve all Electrical design/engineering work carried out by third parties (EPC Contractors/Vendors).
- The feasibility study report inputs clearly indicating the technical requirements, optimum solution and details on Electrical requirements and BOQ / Cost / Schedule.
- B.S. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of AC UPS, DC UPS, Battery banks system design and analysis.
- Experience in LV Cable sizing calculations, Switchgears, Lighting, Small power distribution boards, earthing, and lightning.
- To participate in contract preparation and ensure that all electrical requirements are incorporated in line with the approved engineering & safety standards.
- To ensure required installation, operation and maintenance procedures are in line with best industry practices based on approved applicable standards.
- To participate in non-routine operations and provide support during emergency response situations.
- Managing group of Engineers and designers and ensure the team meets the project expectations and schedule.
- Coordinating with clients, Vendor and inter discipline coordination.
- Conversant with international standards IEC, IEEE and ADNOC Standards
- Vendor drawing Review for Electrical & Mechanical Packages.
- Coordination with inter department & attending meeting with vendors & clients.
- Electrical Equipment selection based on Hazardous area classification.
- Fully familiar with international codes, standards, and recommended practices to be applied for oil/gas projects during EPC phase of execution.
- Experience to manage Engineers & EPC deliverables for owner.
- Must have proven ability to contribute during development of electrical system studies and Hazard / Safety reviews.
- ADNOC Approved Engineer is an advantage. Review of ITB (Invitation to Bid) documents, understand the project requirements and scope for project execution, FEED Verification and preparing technical clarification on Bid documents, Preparation of discipline scopes, deliverables list, Man-Hour estimation, schedules, resource planning and preparing progress reports.
- Experience in any of the following: Skema, ABB, Areva, Comeca, Siemens, Masseera.
