Wood is currently looking for an Lead Buyer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
Manage, direct, and support a team of Lead Buyers the full range of Pre-Award supply chain activities, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and relevant reporting requirements
Ensure performance of all assigned Lead Buyers
Responsible for the successful delivery of all project supply chain processes, procedures, and activities.
Ensure all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with proiect processes and procedures.
Ensure all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with Wood and Client governance, Procedures and processes
Prepare and issue the project specific procurement execution plan and/or contracting strategy, and contract schedule in line with Client Master Control Schedule
Establish and manage the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with proiect / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times, notifying any delays to relevant stakeholders
Establish and chair regular PSR meetings with client, procurement, engineering and or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables are being maintained.
Establish priorities, assign workloads, and review the more difficult and complex aspects of the supply chain workload in alignment with team availability, resources and capabilities.
Manage performance management and development plans for the team, ensuring any gaps are addressed.
Maintain a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department.
Positively maintain relationships with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
Promote safe workinq practices and alwavs demonstrate safety leadership.
Fully familiar with the end to end tender process (TBE, CBE, negotiation with Vendors)
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum 15 years\' supply chain experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar management position
Bachelor\'s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
Experience with Oil&Gas
Excellent English language communication skills, written, oral and presentation
Strategic thinker contributing to the management and improvement of the overall proiect
Excel proficiency and ability to analyze data and understand trends aimed to action plan
Presentation skills
Negotiation skills
