:Wood has an immediate requirement for a Lead Advisor - Digital Consulting to join our global Digital Advisory team, to be located in our UAE offices (preferred Abu Dhabi).   • You will provide leadership for Digital Advisory to secure, manage and deliver innovation, strategy and business transformation scopes, collaborating as a seller-doer with the Growth & Development function and adjacent Consulting business units.
  • You will take a leadership role in a client project team of 2-8 business, digital and deep domain experts focusing developing a clear understanding of the client problem, formulating an agile and inclusive execution approach, and rapid and sustained value delivery in asset management, digitalisation, decarbonisation, automation and organisational transformation.
  • You will be the custodian of the Customer Vision and have Customer Success as your key driver, and actively seeking pull-through opportunities to deliver more client value and grow the opportunity for Wood.
  • You will have confident ability to lead discussions on business outcomes and value propositions, and how Wood could help them achieve these.
  • As a thought leader, you will have the capability to share knowledge addressing industry challenges, and how Wood solutions can.
  • You will lead the day-to-day agile execution of a client project while guiding and developing individual team members, and actively seeking opportunities to deliver more client value and grow the opportunity for Wood.
  • You'll work directly with clients and take ownership of the project and its end products. You will make an important contribution to the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance approaches, developing tailor-made solutions and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.
  • You will have the opportunity to build on your proven leadership skills and leverage your interest in inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership. In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also autonomously with little direction.
  • Your superior analytical, conceptual, business and design thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful client projects and team performance.
  • Client project work typically includes gathering and analysing information, formulating, and testing hypotheses, valuing and developing recommendations for presentation to senior client management and other key stakeholders at multiple levels. You will lead and guide the team to implement those initiatives and recommendations with client team members, providing overall leadership and vision.
Qualifications:As a member of the team, you will demonstrate:
  • Engineering or related professional degree with consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree and MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of highly relevant experience in the energy, materials and decarbonisation sectors; preferably including 5+ years in a senior role with strong business development experience.
  • A technical background in Asset Performance Management and/or Strategic Asset Management, with a strong functional background in maintenance and reliability - connecting to the digital domain.
  • Desirable knowledge of ISO 55000 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Deep expertise in the energy and minerals industries as well as solid functional knowledge including but not limited to digital transformation, strategy, business development, energy, supply chain, project management, marketing and sales, etc.
  • Proven track record to develop new/existing business relationships within energy market and industries, with a focus within the Middle East. Highly networked, with a demonstrated portfolio of key industry business relationships.
  • Ability to leverage those industry relationships to develop and secure business for the team and pull-through business for adjacent teams.
  • Ability to influence and inspire confidence around technical solutions and demonstrate innovative solutions and thought processes.
  • An expert communicator, with a high degree of emotional intelligence and influencing skills - excellent presentation skills, previous experience of C-Level engagements.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, break new ground, create opportunities for others and take personal risks as seen through leadership roles in work environment and extracurricular activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Advanced practitioner of Agile project delivery methodologies in an Advisory or Consultancy context.
