And we\'re looking for more people like this to join our dynamic & committed team at the InterContinental Fujairah Resort.Your Day to Day:Supervision of the housekeeping operations to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel or company business objectives.Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in monitoring budget and control expenses with a focus on increasing productivity.
• Inspect all laundry equipment, linen, guest & staff laundry items and to ensure uniforms, guest rooms/suites upholstery, F&B linen and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
• Recommends equipment, linen and chemical purchasing needs to Department Head in budget preparation.
• Advise team of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
• Assist to maintain proper inventory levels, managing cost per room for supplies and labor (example: bed & bath linen reuse and laundry operation).
• Supervise, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for the team
• Educate and train the team in compliance with IHG Standard, governmental and safety regulations, to ensure their performance meets the standards required.
• Ensure team has the complete tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
• Ensure team are using the equipment properly and maintain the cleanliness of their work area at all time.
• Schedules preventative maintenance of laundry equipment and co-ordinate with the engineering department for any maintenance issues.
• Conducts daily briefings with staff
• Keep and update the Laundry / linen productivity report on a daily basis.
• Proper fillings of all laundry reports
• Carried out linen Inventory on monthly basis, including damaged linen
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other Colleagues of the hotel
• Plan and assist deep-cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods.
• Assists in the recruitment and selection of laundry personnel.
• Report to Housekeeping Manager in case any uniforms need to be discarded or replenished.
• Performs other duties as assigned and able to carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotels management.

Ideally, you\'ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we\'re looking for:

• Experience in a 5-star luxury hotel company is essential.
• School Diploma / secondary education / equivalent
• 2 year previous experience in a similar position or a related field
• Knowledge of Housekeeping operations.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, particularly to deal effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
