Job Summary:
The Language Center Director will be responsible for the overall management, development, and promotion of the English Language courses at the university. This role combines academic leadership with sales and marketing strategies to attract and retain students. The Director will oversee curriculum development, manage faculty and staff, ensure high-quality teaching standards, and drive enrollment through effective marketing and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
• Provide leadership and direction to the English Language Center.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the center's programs and services.
• Manage and mentor faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
2. Curriculum and Program Development:
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the English Language curriculum.
• Ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of diverse learners and aligns with university standards.
• Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and technologies into the program.
3. Quality Assurance:
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the English Language programs.
• Ensure that teaching standards are maintained at the highest level.
• Implement continuous improvement processes based on feedback and assessments.
4. Sales and Marketing:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the English Language programs.
• Utilize digital marketing, social media, and traditional marketing channels to reach potential students.
• Organize and participate in events, open houses, and fairs to attract new students.
• Collaborate with the university's marketing and admissions teams to develop promotional materials.
• Track and analyze marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Enrollment and Student Engagement:
• Drive student enrollment through proactive sales efforts and relationship building.
• Ensure that students receive high-quality support services, including advising and counseling.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Organize and promote extracurricular activities and events to enhance student engagement.
6. Stakeholder Relations:
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including university departments, local businesses, and community organizations.
• Represent the Language Center at university events, conferences, and meetings.
• Promote the center's programs through marketing and outreach efforts.
7. Budget and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage the center's budget.
• Allocate resources effectively to support the center's goals and objectives.
• Seek and secure funding opportunities to enhance the center's offerings.
8. Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure that the center complies with university policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on the center's activities and performance.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Education, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in language education, including teaching and administration.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design.
• Experience with sales and marketing, particularly in an educational field.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using educational technologies and learning management systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience in a university setting.
• Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards in higher education.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
• Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
