Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Landscape Architect, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.
We envisage success in this role to include; Ensuring and reviewing design compliance related to Projects. Reviewing and recommending upon various designs throughout the lifetime of a project. Applying international design standards across various projects. Providing technical expertise and consultation (constructability) in the design, contract development/bidding, and construction phases of projects. Conferring with relevant staff from the client side regarding possible changes to plans (variation, addendum, extension of time) and problem resolution. Reviewing developed scale drawings to ensure that it is in line with overall project vision. Identifies critical issues and provides suggestions to overcoming these or recommends alternative plans to relevant staff with the client. Creating designs for any in-house design projects and prepares drawings, plans, specifications, landscaping, and interior work including architectural renderings, materials to be used, perspectives and colour studies in compliance with architectural standards, codes, and regulations. Interfacing regularly with the respective senior staff from the client side, etc. to provide subject matter input throughout the design and construction phases. Maintaining logs and records of work performed; prepares periodic and special reports as required. Maintains accurate reports of contract work and other assigned activities, reviews progress, performance and completion reports, purchase requests, requisitions, and reports of claims. Performing other duties and responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited University or College program. Solid experience in implementing landscape and soft scape projects. Experience in designing parks, beaches, and pedestrian ways. Experience of technical design software. Experienced and technically excellent in design coordination. Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
