Join us.AECOM are seeking a talented and driven Landscape Architect to contribute to our practice's strategy by developing innovative design processes, standards, and methodologies for project delivery. The ideal candidate will support client needs and business requirements while playing an integral role in creating sustainable and functional landscape designs.Key Responsibilities:
Apply and represent landscape and external works standards in project design tasks and reports, ensuring adherence to regional sustainability standards and regulatory guidelines.
Analyze, question, and validate design ideas with a comprehensive understanding of site characteristics.
Propose relevant design solutions for review with senior designers.
Conduct market and desktop research for project briefs or office thought leadership topics, streamlining findings for review by senior staff.
Collaborate with internal disciplines and external consultants, ensuring seamless integration of their work into the landscape design process.
Identify and study international and local benchmarks and precedents, steering design reviews according to project needs.
Structure landscape/public realm deliverables and reports in line with the scope of services and project requirements.
Demonstrate proficiency in descriptive writing for landscape design principles and guidelines.
Translate innovative design solutions using digital tools and personal expertise, delivering parts of a landscape design package independently.
Understand regional planting and irrigation standards and guidelines.
Prepare materials for external workshops and presentations.
Work toward achieving or having already achieved professional membership with a recognized landscape institute or organization.
Advocate for quality procedures and conduct thorough self-checks of deliverables prior to review.
Assist bid managers in developing landscape proposals and methodologies.
Promote teamwork and share knowledge with landscape designers regularly.
Mentor and support graduate landscape architects and new recruits, ensuring they integrate well into the team and meet task expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture, Urbanism, or other relevant area of expertise.
Successful candidates must have minimum 2+ years of experience in Landscape Architecture.
Registered professional.
Demonstrate expertise or can operate programs in: parametric modelling, BIM, Graphic tools
