Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor proficient in AutoCAD, GPS technology, and other surveying instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, mapping, and data analysis, combined with the technical expertise to create precise drawings and models.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Land Surveys:
• Perform accurate land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
• Measure and record precise distances, angles, and elevations.
• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
• Drafting and Mapping:
• Create detailed maps and drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Develop digital models and drawings of surveyed areas.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
• Data Analysis and Processing:
• Analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize surveying software to process and interpret data.
• Generate reports and presentations based on survey findings.
• Equipment Management:
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to surveying instruments.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey data.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors and technicians.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during field operations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in surveying technology.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with proficiency in AutoCAD and GPS technology.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software.
• Skilled in using GPS equipment, total stations, and other surveying instruments.
• Strong understanding of survey data processing and analysis software.
• Certifications: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.
• Other Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
