Key responsibilities
. Managing land side logistics and contract logistics procurement projects for the Maghreb Countries ( Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria) . . According to authority level, management and participation in negotiations for the L&S category and assisting in the implementation of Service Level Agreements between Maersk's operation and its suppliers. . Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholders in Maersk's operation, working very closely with the Area organization to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution. . Engaging with local organization, counterparts in the other Areas and procurement stakeholders in CPH . Due to the lack of proximity to all stakeholders, a strong application of written communication and presentation material is required. . Performing supplier market analysis and organizing market intelligence for inland spend within Maersk's operation, and benchmarking Maersk cost competition and ensuring cost leadership. . An ability to solve complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes and are aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area. . Involvement in process improvement initiatives that reduce the inland total cost of ownership through non-negotiated approaches, such as re-distribution of volumes between suppliers.
We are looking for
Preferable +3 years of relevant procurement experience. . Strong Negotiation skills. . Experience within Supplier Relationship Management & Contract Management. . Contract Logistics and Capex Sourcing knowledge is a plus. . Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills. . Comfortable with working in an ambiguous environment, with an agile mindset. . Track record of leading complex sourcing projects. . Customer mindset- an understanding of how customer needs relate to procurement activities. . Ability to exercise impact with or without direct authority. . Ability to constructively challenge the safe choice. . The candidate has a good understanding of the business drivers of Maersk business on the Land Side and contract logistics operations and is able to build a strategy within Land Side logistics spend categories to drive cost and improve efficiencies in collaboration with our inland suppliers. . The candidate should have experience with inland container transportation/operations - Land Side logistics and procurement, and should be able to apply procurement tools to drive cost initiatives but also with focus on fulfilling business requirements and vendor performance. . Forward, innovative and strategic thinking. . Tactical procurement activities within the region (providing local solutions by applying local knowledge). . Perform supplier market analysis and organize market intelligence for suppliers in scope.
