Job Description
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our laboratory operations. You will be responsible for performing various tasks, such as preparing samples, conducting tests, and recording results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures and excellent attention to detail.Responsibilities
- Prepare and label samples for laboratory analysis
- Perform routine tests and experiments under the supervision of laboratory staff
- Monitor and document observations, measurements, and results
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate\'s degree in a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Laboratory Assistant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety guidelines and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
