Job Description

FUNCTIONAL
  • Perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
  • Ensure appropriate handling of sample collection, as well as use and maintenance laboratory equipment
  • Prepare specimens and samples to perform tests and analyze the results as per the defined methodologies
  • Collect specimen, monitor sample quality and perform tests with utmost accuracy to produce reliable and accurate results
  • Assist Senior Scientist/ Manager (diagnostic lab name) in development of vaccines and drafting research papers
  • Troubleshoot technical problems in the sample preparation and sequencing workflows
  • Monitor and report scientific progress to ensure that appropriate Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures are followed as per ISO guidelines
  • Configure, operate and maintain specialized equipment for research and testing as per ISO rules and regulations
  • Participate in R&D activities to improve the quality of results and assist in developing and researching new treatment procedures improving parts of existing procedure
  • Conduct all testing procedures in a clean and sanitized environment and maintain all equipment in clean and serviceable condition and ensure the safe removal of waste
  • Use/operate bio-safety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, sequencers, quality control equipment and various supporting laboratory equipment as per standard security protocols and guidelines
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance
  • Prepare, process, analyze and store genetic material/tissue samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Maintain awareness on the strategy planning process
  • Maintain knowledge on new and existing KPI requirements as an individual employee
Corporate Performance Management
  • Achieve the goals/objectives of the entity/ department /section
ORGANIZATIONALGovernance
  • Maintain awareness and adherence to the policies, processes, and guidelines
  • Participate in the periodic audit of the established policies and processes
Management Reporting
  • Support the development of periodic reports, as requested
  • Highlight any quality or non-compliance issues observed during the development of periodic reports
Change Management
  • Support the execution of change management activities in the department/section
