We are currently seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team for an upcoming industrial/construction project based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in third-party lab settings, with a strong background in supervisory roles, report preparation, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct and supervise laboratory tests according to established procedures and standards.
• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of laboratory test reports.
• Collaborate effectively with the lab technical team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications Qualifications Required:
• Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. A relevant diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• Experience:
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Lab Technician in third-party lab settings, specifically within industrial or construction sectors.
+ Proven track record of conducting and supervising laboratory tests, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Skills:
+ Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading a team of lab technicians.
+ Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and verifying accuracy of laboratory test reports.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse technical team and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
+ Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Technical Knowledge:
+ Comprehensive understanding of laboratory testing methodologies relevant to industrial materials (e.g., concrete, asphalt, soils, aggregates).
+ Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to laboratory environments.
• Personal Attributes:
+ Detail-oriented and capable of working efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Adherence to high ethical standards and commitment to quality assurance.
• Certifications (Preferred):
+ Certification in relevant laboratory testing methods or equipment operation (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AASHTO).
+ Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification or equivalent in workplace safety.
