Summary: The Kitchen Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervises and coordinates activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies: Plans or participates in planning menus, preparing and apportioning foods, and utilizing food surpluses.
Specifies number of servings to be made from any vegetable, meat, beverage, and dessert to control portion costs.
checks the food stock for freshness and quality on a regular basis.
It is the duty of a Kitchen Supervisor to look into any customer complaints and be able to resolve such complaints on food service or quality.
Kitchen Supervisor is the one who makes a schedule for the routinely equipment maintenance, waste removal and cleaning services.
Supervises COOK and tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards.
Supervises workers engaged in inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies.
Purchases foodstuffs, kitchen supplies, and equipment, or requisitions them from PURCHASING AGENT.
Trains new workers.
Performs other duties as described
Qualifications :
Proven 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or similar role in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Experience on grills preferred (Iranian, Arabic or Turkish).
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities effectively.
Attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality and safety standards.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
BBQ experience is an advantage
Other required skills:
Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities to address issues as they arise, adapt to changing circumstances, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Attention to detail to maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, and sanitation.
