We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, supporting the seamless operation of culinary activities, and upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dishwashing and Cleaning : Effectively manage dishwashing operations, ensuring all utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including surfaces, floors, and equipment.
2. Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory of kitchen supplies, including cleaning agents and utensils. Report any shortages or damages promptly to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
3. Collaboration with Kitchen Staff : Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to provide timely support during peak hours. Assist in food preparation activities, as needed.
4. Adherence to Safety Standards : Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Identify and address any safety hazards promptly.
5. Waste Management: Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste in accordance with waste management guidelines. Implement recycling practices where applicable.
6. Organization and Efficiency : Implement and maintain effective cleaning schedules to optimize efficiency in kitchen operations. Proactively identify areas for improvement in cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Steward or similar role.
- Understanding of kitchen operations and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
