We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Food Preparation:
Support chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and mixing as needed.
Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness:
Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and stored properly.
Garbage and Waste Management:
Dispose of kitchen waste properly and ensure that the garbage bins are regularly emptied to maintain a clean working environment.
Assist in Cooking:
Participate in cooking simple dishes or side items as directed by supervisors or chefs.
Follow Health and Safety Guidelines:
Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with health department policies.
Collaborate with Team Members:
Work effectively with other kitchen staff to meet the demands of service and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Food Safety:
Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Team Player:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Positive Attitude:
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
