Job Description
Functional Responsibilities:
• Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities.
• Help during meal times.
• Continuously monitor children to ensure safety at all times, and report child abuse.
• Assess children on a regular basis under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Take pictures and maintain anecdotal notes, written observations, and other approved forms of documentation for each child.
• Assist the class teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children's development.
• Help class Teacher prepare activities that support lesson plans.
• Inform parents about daily classroom routine.
• Design and complete documentation panels for the classrooms and hallways.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for classroom activities .
• Maintain accurate and up to date portfolios of children.
• Maintain classroom supply lists and inventory.
• Under direction of class Teachers delegate duties to children as necessary.
• Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
• Sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and classroom toys.
• Maintain a quality room arrangement in compliance with the standards of the school.
• Routinely check classroom equipment and materials to ensure they are all ready for use.
