The Role
• No travel role Provide in-depth industry research and analysis services to client and proposal teams. Conduct discussions with project teams to sharpen the scope of module/request and help structure issues into approaches and deliverables. Manage the pipeline of research requests for Telecom and Technology with the help of the research workflow coordinator. Manage key relationships with project team leads in Telecom and Technology and support the research hub initiatives dedicated to the practice. Responsibilities: o Drive and autonomously support client teams on medium to high complexity TMT requests for projects and proposals by leveraging internal and external subscriptions across the network. o Deliver on research service menu products, including benchmarking; company profiling; and financial analysis, industry baselining, and market trends. o Develop an excellent understanding of all in house and external databases and guide the consultants for the availability of data in these databases. o Extract and structure insights in an easy to read, client-ready format (presentations, financial models and/or other agreed upon formats). o Adopt communication to stakeholder settings -- tailor messages to the audience and deliver targeted presentations. o Serve as an embedded team member on client engagements to support select work streams by taking full ownership of data requirements, research, synthesis, and final deliverables. o Assign requests to junior or vendor team members. Monitor their output and ensure quality standards. Provide training and guidance on general and practice specific databases and research methodologies. o Innovate on and improve research services by creating new tools/products/knowledge to support client staff teams to work efficiently and extract relevant trends and insights. o Partner with project and knowledge management teams to identify and address critical knowledge needs for projects and overall practice. o Support with creating reports/newsletters on new trends, new topics, regulations etc. highlighting the overall impact on practice. o Become familiar with internal intellectual capital availability and work with topic specialists to create well-rounded research outputs.
Requirements
• University degree required; advanced degree in a business or engineering-related discipline preferred o At least 3-5 years of relevant research or consulting experience, preferably in technology sectors (Enterprise ICT, AI, IoT, Cloud etc.) o Experience with financial modelling and Storylining o Experience with professional databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva, Omdia, Telegeography or equivalents o Significant personal presence, enabling successful interaction directly with senior consultants, clients, and knowledge professionals o Well-articulated and presented and proactive self-starter o Good problem solving skills and basic knowledge of consulting tools and frameworks o Team player, strong organizational skills and attention to detail o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (candidates with Arabic language skills will be preferred) o Ability to analyse, interpret, and identify trends from various data sets (structured and unstructured data) o Ability to manage multiple data projects at a time o Positive, lively, can-do attitude; a quick learner with the energy and enthusiasm to act and accomplish
