This role involves assisting with the preparation and baking of a wide range of products, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency, and contributing to the creative development of new baked goods. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of products, including breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Ensure all baked items are prepared according to recipes and quality standards, with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Support the Head Baker and Pastry Chef in managing daily bakery operations, including inventory control, ingredient ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and test new recipes and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and assist in their development.
  • Assist with managing bakery production schedules to meet customer demands and operational needs.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the pastry/ bakery kitchen.
  • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 5-7 years\' experience in the culinary industry.
  • Experience of the Middle East market preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling, and pastry preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and detail-oriented with a passion for baking and pastry arts.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
