Position Overview:

A Junior Roads Design Engineer is responsible for Roads Design NOCs. SUBMITTION and supporting the design and development of road projects, creating designs, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. Below is a detailed job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Drafting:

• Assist in preparing road alignments and layout, cross-sections, and profiles using CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D), use engineering principles to, drainage systems,
• Contribute to geometric designs for highways, urban roads, and intersections.

2. Survey Data Analysis:

• Analysis topographic and geotechnical survey data for road alignment and grading.
• Assist in developing solutions to design challenges based on survey results.

3. Standards and Regulations:

• Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international standards (AASHTO, Dubai Manuals, or Eurocodes).
• Ensure that, the road designs Drawings SUBMITTION for NOCs. are submitted to authorities (RTA, Dubai Municipality) and obtain the approval in the required times and follow them up until Final approved.

4. Documentation and Reports:

• Assist in preparing design reports, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Contribute to cost estimation and quantity take-offs.

5. Coordination:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including drainage, utilities, and traffic engineers.
• Liaise with contractors, surveyors, and project managers as needed.

6. Site Visits:

• Participate in site visits to understand field conditions and constraints.
• Assist in addressing design-related issues during construction phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Basic knowledge of road design software (Auto Turn).
• Familiarity with road design principles, including vertical and horizontal alignment.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Experience:

• Must be aware and was worked with NOC system of Dubai Authorities (RTA, Municipality)
• Minium (5) years Previous experience in road design including at least (3) years in Dubai.
• Understanding of construction processes and materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Contract length: 24 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

• Relevant Projects: 5 years (Preferred)
