A quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) engineer is responsible for ensuring that the products and services provided by a company meet the required standards.
They develop and implement quality assurance plans, test products and services to ensure they meet the required standards, and report their findings to management.
QA/QC engineers typically have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. They must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with quality assurance methods and tools.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. You must also be able to work effectively within a team environment
1. Carefully inspect and review tender documentation (contract terms and conditions, drawings, specifications, BOQ's) Analyze exact requirements and identify areas that have implications to Tender.
2. Preparing and analyzing project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor and time
3. Provide a detailed "Take-Off" and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) using estimating software packages.
4. Work on traditional plan and specification and design and build contracts.
5. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
6. Clearly mark BOQ to identify items to have enquiries sent out, together with specification, preliminary elements and appropriate drawings. Monitor enquiry process and dates for quote returns.
7. Outsource quotations for raw material and subcontractors.
8. Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from materials and sub-contract quotes.
9. Raise RFI for any missing information, details, specifications and evaluate the responses.
10. Responsible to complete the Bill of Quantities (material cost, manpower & equipment requirements).
11. Responsible in checking Rate build ups and amend whenever necessary.
12. Oversee or complete the quote analysis comparison and make selection for inclusion in priced tender.
13. Designate contact person to arrange site inspections. Visit site and make all necessary record notes and take appropriate photographs. Assimilate information and take account in tender pricing.
14. Finalize Technical & Commercial Tenders for submission.
15. Attending tender negotiation
16. Handling post tender clarification
17. Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
18. Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
19. Preparing PS adjustments and variations for on-going projects.
20. Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes.
21. Coordinating with site team regarding any modifications that arise during construction.
22. Measuring and valuing the work done on site.
23. Visiting the sites when required.
24. Perform other duties deemed necessary as per the instruction of the immediate head from time to time.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
