JOB PROFILE We are looking for artistic, detail-oriented candidates with good interpersonal skills for the position of Interior Designer. You will deal with design from concept to completion and comply with all the regulatory environment around inspections and building codes. Should be able to think creatively about the use of space, colour and movement and will draw on other artistic mediums for creative inspiration. Needs to be an effective communicator with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea Qualification & Skills
- Min 2 years of proven working experience in designing Commercial interior spaces for new constructions & renovation projects (Office, Retail and F&B Sectors)
- Excellent portfolio of previous works
- Proficient in AutoCAD - for 2d drafting.
- Proficient in Sketchup - 3d modelling (Enscape rendering plugin preferred)
- Knowledge of PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop for Presentations. (Illustrator and InDesign expertise preferred)
- Creative talent, imagination, and eye for detail
- Communication and presentation skills
- Time Management and organisational skills
- Being a clear communicator and being able to work in a team.
- Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or similar
- Undertaking Design project from concept to completion
- Defining project requirements and schedule during the Client brief
- Interpreting and translating client needs into design using (sketches or 3d massing models)
- Preparing Concept layouts and mood board presentations (Pinterest + PowerPoint)
- Preparing 3d massing models (Zoning and Functional mapping)
- Preparing 3d renders using sketchup.
- Preparing Architectural Drawings adhering to statutory authority guidelines
- Coordinating with all external consultants & suppliers for completing the submission drawings
- Prepare Detailed Shop drawings for Joinery, Metal works and any fixed furniture.
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
- Prepare Material Specification sheets (All finishes, lighting and FF& E specifications - Excel Files with Images)
- Research and decide on new materials and products sourcing.
- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices.
