Job Description

We are looking for Estimation Assistant with 1-2 years of experience in UAE in a fit out Industy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Document Management:

Ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient management of estimation-related documents.

Data Organization:

Assist in creating and maintaining documentation and historical data for future reference.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project estimators and other departments to understand project requirements and constraints.

Drawing & Specification Analysis:

Analyze drawings, specifications, and project scope to prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs).

Discrepancy Identification:

Identify and address discrepancies in project documents.

RFQ Preparation & Coordination:

Prepare and send RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring a minimum of three quotations are obtained. Follow up to secure timely receipt of cost proposals.

Supplier & Subcontractor Communication:

Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and relevant information.

Cost Estimation & Analysis:

Utilize estimation software and tools to input data and generate cost estimates. Support the estimation team in analyzing cost factors and identifying cost-saving measures.

Historical Data Review:

Assist in reviewing past project data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.

Cross-Department Coordination:

Work with different teams to gather necessary inputs and address queries related to estimates.

Timeline Management:

Ensure estimation tasks are completed within established deadlines while handling multiple projects.

Supplier & Contractor Database Maintenance:

Maintain an up-to-date directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Industry Knowledge & Continuous Learning:

Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance estimation skills.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and numerical skills Proficiency in cost estimation techniques and quantity take-offs Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing Proficiency in estimation software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings Good communication and negotiation skills Time management and ability to meet deadlines Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in

Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

Certification in cost estimation or quantity surveying (preferred but not mandatory)
