Job descriptionJunior Drilling Engineer, StaffMajor Operator, Abu DhabiAbout the Role:Our client, a global energy major is seeking a talented Junior Drilling Engineer to join their dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, planning, and execution of drilling operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare well data sheets and design wellhead equipment.
Develop and implement drilling programs.
Analyze rig site data and generate comprehensive well reports.
Monitor daily drilling progress, costs, and identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with specialist contractors and suppliers.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Manage drilling and service contracts.
Coordinate and supervise the drilling team.
Contribute to well design and planning, including development work.
Evaluate the commercial viability of wells and monitor drilling progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Science.
3+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas drilling industry.
1+ year of well site experience as a Drilling Supervisor or Well Site Engineer.
Certifications in drilling engineering technologies.
Intermediate English language proficiency.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
