You will be responsible to control the consistency and uniformity of finished products against the requirements specified in the batch cards and to maintain quality control records to align with e-Convention, QHSE standards.
An amazing opportunity to work with an innovative team and get the opportunity to leave your mark. As a Chemist, you will have the ability to bring new insights to reduce batch variances, improve FTR%, to support 6S plan in the lab.
Here's some of the other things you can look forward to:
Enters formulations in AX system and present it to the Lab in Charge for review and approval.
Controls production batches to ensure that product specifications are met.
Assists in issuing batch certificates.
Conducts Root Cause Analysis for registered complaints.
Approves Color Match and maintain records as per E-Convention.
Performs calibration of laboratory equipment.
Tests incoming raw materials and create batch cards.
To ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies.
Approve production batches aligning with the required specification in consultation with Senior Chemist / Laboratory in Charge.
Approve incoming raw materials if they meet the specification.
Instruct Production Department to undertake corrective measures in consultation with Senior Chemist / Laboratory in Charge.
Full compliance to QHSE regulations and procedures.
This role will be based in Kuwait and will report into Senior Chemist.
You should also have the following qualifications:
Bachelor or equivalent in Paint Technology.
2 years' experience in Quality Control Lab of a Paint Manufacturing Company.
Knowledge of raw materials.
Color Management Skills.
Knowledge to use any ERP system.
Knowledge of Hempel Quality Control procedures, awareness about QMS (ISO 9001).
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Quality Control Techniques
