Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will assist in various accounting functions, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform account reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Maintain and update financial records in accordance with UAE laws and regulations. Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses. Assist in VAT filing and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and collections. Support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Assist in audit preparations and liaising with external auditors. Perform other accounting-related duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in UAE. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and local tax regulations (specifically VAT). Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not required. UAE experience is essential.
