Job Description

:

Waves Fitness Gym is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will report directly to the Senior Accountant and work closely with other members of the finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Support the Senior Accountant in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Help with the preparation of tax returns and other compliance documents.
• Participate in inventory management and control processes.
• Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.
• Assist in implementing and improving accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance preferred, but not required (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and integrity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
