Required Accountant for a Telecom company in UAE.

Location: Abu Dhabi

Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance

• 3 to 4 years of experience as an Accountant in similar field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail

Key Responsibilities - main duties, responsibilities, and outputs of the role.

1. Accounts Payable:

• Negotiate with local suppliers for better prices, discounts and payment terms on a need-to

basis.

• File and maintain purchase orders.
• Maintain a track of payment terms with suppliers as well as the status and value of

outstanding payments.

• Ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Prepare cheques or wire transfers to vendors and creditors.
• Update the Peachtree accounting software with the status of accounts payables.
• Prepare guarantee letter applications and other documents in respect of accounts payables.
• Prepare monthly reports and intra division reconciliation of accounts by month end.
• Disburse petty cash to meet small expenses and maintain a record of the same.
• Maintain a record of telephone and water and electricity bills paid and deduct the cost of

personal calls, if any, from the salary of the respective employee that month.

2. Accounts Receivable:

• Record and control outgoing invoices.
• Follow up with customers for collection of payments on a daily basis.
• Prepare weekly receivables report for each division and send to the respective divisional

managers for their information and advice on follow up.

• Cooperate with external auditors on requested financial information in accordance with

regulations specified by the Finance and Administration Manager.

3. Year End Responsibilities:

• Review all sales files, receipt vouchers and entries done in the financial year.

Salary: AED 5,000 to 6,000 (Depending upon experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
