Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Joinery Site Supervisor with 5-10 years of experience in the interior fit-out or construction sector in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing the installation and execution of joinery works, including furniture, cabinetry, doors, partitions, and other woodwork. As a Joinery Site Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and quality, while adhering to project timelines and specifications.

The successful candidate will be an effective leader capable of managing a team of skilled carpenters and joinery workers, coordinating with other project teams, and ensuring that joinery tasks are completed to the client's satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Management & Supervision:
• Supervise and coordinate joinery works on-site, ensuring that all joinery activities are performed according to the project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Manage a team of joiners, carpenters, and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to the project schedule, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
• Ensure that all materials and resources required for the joinery works are available on-site and stored properly.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the correct installation and assembly of joinery items, such as cabinetry, doors, wood paneling, partitions, and finishes.
• Quality Control & Assurance:
• Ensure that all joinery works meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and are in compliance with the technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor the quality of materials used in joinery works and ensure that they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Perform regular quality checks and inspections to detect any defects or deviations from the project requirements and promptly address any issues.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Coordinate with other site teams (e.g., MEP, civil works) to ensure that joinery works are integrated effectively with other building services.
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and Site Manager to provide updates on project progress, potential issues, and resource requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services required for joinery works.
• Attend site meetings and provide input on the progress of joinery works, addressing any concerns or challenges that arise during the execution phase.
• Resource & Workforce Management:
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the joinery team, ensuring that the workforce is adequately trained, motivated, and aligned with the project objectives.
• Ensure that work is completed according to the project timeline, minimizing delays and downtime.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to joinery workers and resolve any on-site issues related to joinery work.
• Health, Safety & Compliance:
• Implement and enforce safety standards and practices on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to ensure that safety protocols are being followed.
• Ensure all joinery-related work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Site Manager or Project Manager immediately.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of joinery works, including work logs, progress reports, material requisitions, and timesheets.
• Submit regular reports to the Project Manager on progress, challenges, material usage, and other relevant aspects of joinery works.
• Ensure proper documentation of any changes, variations, or deviations from the original design or scope of work.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in joinery and woodwork in the interior fit-out or construction industry in the UAE.
• Proven experience supervising joinery works on-site, particularly in large-scale fit-out projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail).
• Education & Certifications:
• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design , Architecture , Civil Engineering , Construction Management , or a related field.
• Joinery-related certifications or training (e.g., Carpentry & Joinery , Site Supervision training, or Health & Safety Certifications ) are highly desirable.
• Skills & Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and installation processes, including wood, laminates, MDF, veneers, and solid wood.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings , shop drawings , and design specifications .
• Excellent understanding of quality control processes and the ability to deliver projects to the highest standards.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team of craftsmen and joiners.
• Ability to manage time effectively and ensure that work is completed within project deadlines.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for reporting and communication.
• Language Skills:
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred for site visits and material coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
