Job Summary:

The Joinery Project Manager will manage and oversee the end-to-end process of joinery projects, including but not limited to design, manufacturing, installation, and completion of high-quality joinery works for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. The individual will liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of joinery projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, and clients to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure that the design and technical specifications are adhered to, and propose value-engineering solutions where applicable.
• Team Management:
• Lead and manage the joinery team, including craftsmen, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality and progress.
• Budget and Cost Management:
• Prepare project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and procurement needs.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective materials and services.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all joinery works meet industry standards and client specifications.
• Implement quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards at every project stage.
• Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of workmanship and materials used.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site and that workers adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
• Client Communication and Reporting:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are met and that they are updated regularly on project progress.
• Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Handle client feedback and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
• Procurement and Supplier Management:
• Source, order, and manage materials required for joinery projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Scheduling and Time Management:
• Develop detailed project schedules and timelines.
• Monitor the progress of the work, ensure deadlines are met, and handle any delays or issues that arise.
• Project Handover:
• Ensure successful project handover, including obtaining all necessary certifications and approvals.
• Conduct final inspections and address any issues before final sign-off.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically in joinery, carpentry, or interior fit-out projects.
