Project Engineer (Wood and Joinery factory)

We are looking for a highly organized Project Engineer to create production schedules and plans, oversee production processes and ensure that the required materials are selected and purchased. Responsible for ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and that health and safety protocols are adhered to.

To be successful as a Project Engineer you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time with FSC and FR standard experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create a production plan and schedule.
• Purchase the required materials.
• Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime& Schedule regular maintenance for equipment.
• Oversee a workforce of 50+ employees in the manufacturing department including training of new employees.
• Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
• Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
• Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
• Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees
• Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
• Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
• Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in Joinery manufacturing operations
• Bachelor's degree required - Civil/Architectural
• Excellent project management skills
• Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, FSC and FR EN/BS regulations (advantageous)
• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
