Job Description

The Joinery Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring efficient workflows for joinery projects. This role involves liaising between the design, production, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality joinery work aligned with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop detailed production schedules for joinery projects to meet deadlines. Coordinate production timelines with project managers and clients. Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes. Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and machinery, to ensure smooth production. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials. Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and costs. Liaise with design teams to ensure drawings and specifications are clear and achievable. Work closely with the factory and site teams to align production with project requirements. Communicate updates and potential challenges to stakeholders. Track project progress and identify potential bottlenecks or issues. Generate regular progress reports for management and project teams. Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications. Analyze workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency. Stay updated with the latest joinery planning tools and techniques. Implement best practices to streamline processes and improve outcomes. Ensure that all planning activities adhere to health and safety regulations. Incorporate safety considerations into production schedules and plans

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:



Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in joinery planning or production coordination. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of joinery processes, materials, and production techniques. Planning Tools: Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, or similar). Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in planning and scheduling tasks

Working Conditions:



Office-based with regular coordination with factory and site teams. May require extended hours during critical project phases.
